Have you ever felt that people treat you unfairly?
treat you tougher than they do others. expect more from you than they from others.
to excel in various things. to come up with good ideas. to translate things in a blink second. to react in a blatantly frank yet constructive mode. to be angel and at the same time devil. and lotsa other stuff. You name it.
it can be frustrating at times.
you keep asking why. why do they do that to you?
(you may even ask : is it possible that actually you are the one who expects too much of yourself?)
you start answering your own question. is it because i am smart? i am tough? i am independent? i am a strong willed individual? Blah blah blah.
it may answer the very question.
no, it is not a sin to be proud of yourself. may at times make people think you are arrogant but. errr or is it a sin? envy pride gluttony lust anger greed sloth. dunno.
but of course just like other stuff, if it gets too much, it tends to be negative.
You get easily annoyed if people do not look up on you. Or else you get frustrated, for you just do not feel like to do what they want you to. Get even more annoyed when people judge you as arrogant for not doing what they want you to.
now, can you blame others for that?

everything in life has its limit... including pride... if it's too much, then it's not good... or they call it as 'sin' :)

I love your pottery Kathy! Here's a real emnmcot, not Spam! I took a class way back at Duke (in the olden days!) and loved it, but never had a chance to continue. Kira has done some pottery work at DSA, but she prefers to build by hand. Unfortunately most of what they do goes back in the clay bin unfired due to budget limitations. Where are you taking the class?
