sudah semingguan ini meja rasanya ngga pernah bersih dari berkas-berkas lamaran. bukaaaaan. bukan lamaran nikah. yang itu i wish and i dream hehe.
eniwei setelah berkutat membaca banyak (sekali!) berkas lamaran dan menyortir hingga tercipta satu short list of selected candidates, ada beberapa hal yang sepertinya layak dishare disini. semoga bermanfaat.
a concise cover letter with a proper cv will do fine. ketika harus berkutat dengan begitu banyak berkas lamaran untuk disortir, it will help us a lot jika kita bisa mendapatkan informasi apakah kwalifikasi pelamar sesuai dengan yang dipersyaratkan dengan cepat. ngga perlu sampe repor melihat satu persatu lampiran fotokopi ijazah ataupun surat rekomendasi and other stuff yang bikin berkas lamaran gemuk. dalam hal ini slim is beautiful (dalam hal lain tentu saja slim is not always beautiful hehehe :p)
sebelum bicara soal cover letter dan cv let's talk about lampiran. beberapa perusahaan emang sepertinya masih mempersyaratkan dokumen seperti fotokopi ktp, surat keterangan kelakuan baik bla bla bla. hmm. hari gini ngirim surat lamaran ngga perlu pake fotokopi ktp kali yah? apalagi surat keterangan kelakuan baik! duh. setelah melalui pembicaraan dengan beberapa rekan teman sesama sumber daya manusia di perusahaan multinasional, such documentation baru akan diminta jika sudah diterima dan bukan sebelumnya. dan itupun bisa difotokopi pake fasilitas kantor kan udah diterima? so bisa save money kan ngga perlu repot-repot fotokopi. *wink*
nah sekarang soal cover letter. a concise one elaborating personal data like name, career aspiration, current designation in the current company and your strength will be sufficient. informasi yang lebih detil bisa ditulis di cv kan?
nah sekarang apa aja yang ditulis di cv? mari kita mulai dengan education background. tulis dengan detil tapi ngga perlulah sampe nulis TK di mana hehe. tulis juga kursus-kursus yang pernah diikuti yang sekiranya akan mendukung pekerjaan yang sedang dilamar. tambahkan sekaligus your language command. fasih berbahasa apa saja.
berikutnya pengalaman kerja dan yes ini perlu sekali. kalo perlu sedikit dijelaskan ditiap posisi yang pernah dipegang main tasknya apa saja dan pencapaian apa yang dimiliki misal berhasil mengegolkan proyek bernilai 1 milyar atau berhasil menyelesaikan transaksi penjualan senilai berapalah. terus gimana dong kalo ngga measurable, seperti posisi di departemen sumber daya? lah sapa bilang? bisa kan ditulis berhasil menyelesaikan sistem payroll dan scheduling bekerjasama dengan pihak IT *wink*
oiya, seringkali di lembaran cv ada bagian hobbi, hihihihi ini yang bikin kita tukang sortir berkas lamaran ngikik-ngikik ngga jelas. bayangin, untuk posisi public relation manager seorang pelamar menulis swimming dan jogging sebagai hobinya. well ngga ada yang salah siiih, tapi apa ngga lebih baik menulis hobi yang sekiranya mendukung posisi yang sedang dilamar seperti, meeting people, advertisement etc. i am not implying that you go lying about your hobbies just to make your cv selling though ;)
apalagi yah? oiyaaa jangan lupa pake cover letter yang formal but ngga boring yah. ngga perlu repot-repot pakai tulisan tangan, ketikan komputer will do just fine. satu lagi, jangan lupa tulis alamat dan nomer telepon yang mudah dihubungi yaaa. good luck!

di tempatku cuma perlu kirim CV aja, kalo kebanyakan (ijazah bla...bla) justru ga digubris....repot soalnya :p

eh, ga tau napa yah..gw males banget klo suru ngetik surat lamaran trus dikirim poss.. pengalaman gw dulu nyortir surat lamaran, klo dikirim pos dan bejibun, yang ada cuman dimasukin tumpukan file doang.. hehehe, jd skarang keseringan ngirim pake email. cuman nglampirin CV, lampiran laen.. nanti dulu lah..klo ada tindak lanjutt.. :P

, we are dealing with metaphysical bafflegab. The terms yin and yang are metaphysical bafflegab terms. Please desist from putting words into my mouth, and learn to read with discernment. My argument is actually that cocoa is bitter, and peanuts are not, and chocolate is a stimulant,whereas peanuts are not. Bitter and Sour flavours are associate with yang (in Wu Xing theory, or as the semi literate refer to it, “Five Elements” theory). Though I began with the commercial products, in all of their highly processed forms, I quickly retreated from that, because the processed forms do not offer answers as shown by the arguments against my explanation. Their is an extensive range of materials that can be considered “peanut butter” and “chocolate”, though in this situation we are dealing with the most modified of commercial products, as this question would not be asked unless their is an association, and the association usually presented is the commercial one of “peanut butter cups”. However, to ascertain a less biased answer, I actually took it back to base ingredients, since the commercial products are both “sweet”, and therefore neither yin nor yang. Colour had nothing to do with my reasoning. More evidence of the correlations: peanuts are used as bar food, whereas chocolate is not. Drunkeness is a state of unbalanced yang, induced by the input of additional yang energies. Peanuts are there to counter this, bringing one closer to a state of harmony, and therefore yin.The assoication of chocolate with females is actually counterproductive to the claim that it is yin. The natural ideal state is to be in a state of balance. Females have a greater tie to chocolate, but the evidence is that is the case because it is somewhat of a male replacement (it causes the release of similar hormones etc). Much like the peanuts countering the excess forces of yang that is drunkeness, the limitless yin of the female is offset by chocolate by bringing them closer to harmonious balance. Ergo, chocolate must be yang to achieve such a state of balance. One could also argue that what we are dealing with are a type of chocolate (one modified by a filling), rather than a type of peanut butter (which has been modified by another ingredient). This puts the peanut butter in a subordinate position to the chocolate in this situation. Since chocolate is dominant (one eats peanut butter and chocolate together when one is looking to eat chocolate, not when one is looking to eat peanut butter), it must be yang in this situation.
Singe we are using terms for the states of qi in this dispute, the easiest way of contemplating this is according to wu xing theory, based specifically on the correlation of the tastes. The problem here is that in prepared form, both peanut butter and chocolate are harmonious mixtures, especially in the commercial forms being referenced. Both in prepared form are most easily considered “sweet”, which is earth aligned and therefore balanced in regards to yin and yang. However, they both have elements of their namesake original materials (Roasted Peanuts and Cocoa). Cocoa is easy to consider hear. In pure form, it is bitter. Bitter is the flavour associated with Fire and the South, being peak Yang. It is also a mild stimulant, which is also makes it associated with yang. Peanuts are much trickier. In general, the natural flavour of peanuts is at most sweet, besides their association with the earth. However, the roasting process often makes an association with salt (associated with peak yin). Therefore, peanuts are Earth modified slightly towards yin. Therefore, since chocolate is clearly more yang than peanuts, in this situation (which has been mitigated extensively by preparation), the chocolate comes out as the yang principal.
