since wednesday, 17 december 2008, tigger refused to eat.
by then i knew that he had the same disease like noel.
just like with noel, i kept my faith. i know canine distemper is an incurable disease but i went on calling the same vet who treated noel.
tigger refused to take his medicine so on the next day the vet decided to give him a shot. but regardless of the medicine, he seemed to stay in constant pain with labored breath, cough and runny nose.
different from noel who refused to be touched, his distemper struck his nerves so any touch is so very painful for him, tigger always wanted to be hugged and caressed.
sadly he got worse by hours. he refused to drink. this could lead to dehydration, very fatal for dogs, so i had to use put some water on his mouth.
very saddening. i could not do more for him, except hugging him.
on friday, i could not skip work so i left him at home on our bed. i rushed home at six because my brother said tigger fell down couple of times and could not move anymore.
when i entered my bedroom, tigger slept on our bed, covered by his favorite blanket. he moved his arms and looked at me. i knew then that i had to let him go. i said some prayers and after some spasm, he went to heaven. leaving me behind.
that was only ten minutes after my arrival.
