just how often we think that unfortunate things only happen outside our comfortable zone. thus why worry?
i guess that has made me feeling like struck by a lightning to read shocking news on orang utan in sumatra forced to work as prostitutes.
it left me with mixed feelings.
how can someone do such thing to orang utan?
i kept asking the question. in disbelief.
is it because we do not know anything about orang utan? moreover just how critically endangered sumatran orang utans are.
or if we do, is it because we do not know just how to raise our concerns on such issue?
is it because we are too busy with our own life and its various problems?
it may as well because we do not know. let's just hope it is not because we do not want to know.
sadly, too many ill-fated things happen for the same reason. we do not want to know. because we think it is someone else's responsibility
... and i am, sadly to say, one of the grumps.
