... it doesn't matter whether heaven or hell really exists, the notion of these two supposedly places after life, serving as a deterrence, check and balance, in spite of everything is way more indispensable...

it is more important is to do good while we are alive, no? not because we are afraid of going to hell, but because it is the only sane way to live our life. besides, if we are dead, we don't feel a thing, right? so what's to be afraid of?
