turtle release
i enjoyed my previous two stays in sheraton senggigi beach resort, lombok. its tranquility is what captivated me. it is thus only logical that i chose to stay in this hotel for my third visit in the island. and sure, it's like going home (one away from home, that is!)
beside it's tranquility, i am particularly fond of its pool and the surrounding landscape. it's always inviting. imagine swimming in a pool with just perfect natural shade, serenaded by the soothing sound of senggigi beach waves. heaven!
anywho, on my most recent stay, i found another reason to like this resort. peeps, the resort has a proper turtle hatchery! just how cool that is! a resort to instinctively take part in the effort to conserve the island turtles.
what's even more engaging is that guests staying in this hotel can also participate in this worthy cause by donating money that will eventually be used to fund the hatchery.
and guess what? my friend and i released two baby turtles into the natural environment of senggigi beach on our last evening in the resort. and yes this is something that guests can also do! it's a fun-tastic experience looking at two cute baby turtles working their way to the sea!
