i found an old book in my study, we the living by ayn rand, printed in 1947. i totally forgot when and where i bought it or if someone had actually given it to me.
nooo, this post ain't going to be a book review. nor about who jack and daphne, whose names handwritten on the first page of the book, are. not even about the note that i found it romantic, jotted down on the first page, to jack from daphne 17.3.49.
by the way books always make great gift indeed. errr 9.3.2006 is only days away if you notice mwahahahahahaha :p
back to the book. the main character in this book is kira argounova. my. i always love the name kira. i once even planned to give my future baby with that very name. haha. dream on girl!
yep. this is about things that we wanna do, we wanna have. things that start indeed from dreams.
dreams are like seeds. they need some real actions to grow to reality. proper media, proper handling, watering, fertilizer, and others. you name 'em.
with the plant we may at times need to move it inside when the sun is just too hot. or stop watering otherwise the roots will be rotten. need to fertilize the soil.
whereas with our dreams, we have to provide necessary resources, time, courage, determination for instance. may sometimes need to back pedal, adjust our steps, even stop for a moment before proceeding.
dreams are like seeds. will just be unforgetable useless items without actions. don't you think so?
so, getting married and having a baby will be the real actions for my dream, no? :p
